Notifications

Castaly keeps notifications in the Notifications tab of Account Settings. The bell in the bottom-left sidebar gives you a quick preview, and the full tab gives you the complete Activity list.

Notifications are account-level. Some items are about your account or billing; others may point to a Space, Project, or support action when that context is available.

You can review notifications in two places.

Bell preview

Click the bottom-left bell to see a compact dropdown with the latest unread and recent Activity. It is for quick scanning.

Full tab

Choose View all notifications from the bell preview, or open Account Settings → Notifications, to review the full list.

The bell badge shows the number of unread Activity notifications. The bell preview shows up to the latest few items, sorted with unread items first.

Activity is where Castaly puts notifications that are specific to you.

Some Activity items have an action button when expanded. Actions can open Plans & Credits, Learn, a Space, or a Project. If the target is no longer available, Castaly will tell you that the action cannot be opened.

In the full tab, Activity is a single list. Unread items are shown first, then read items, with each group sorted newest first.

  1. Scan the list

    Unread items show a dot. Each row shows a title, description, and time.

  2. Open one

    Click a notification to expand it — the preview opens to its full text, and opening an unread one marks it read. Click again to collapse.

  3. Take an action

    Some notifications add a button when expanded. Inline actions only appear in the expanded view.

  4. Clear the rest

    Use Mark all as read to clear your unread items at once. It’s disabled when nothing is unread.

When there is more than fits at once, Load more reveals the next batch and shows a count, such as Showing 20 of 26.

The bell preview is designed for fast triage.

  1. Check unread count

    The badge on the bell shows how many unread notifications need attention.

  2. Open the preview

    The dropdown shows a compact list of recent Activity. Each row shows a title, source, and relative time.

  3. Open the full tab

    Click an item or View all notifications to open the full Notifications tab in Account Settings.

  4. Clear unread items

    Use Mark all as read in the bell preview or full tab to clear unread notifications at once.

Notifications are not the source of truth for every activity in Castaly.
