Clarify Your Intent

Castaly helps turn rough ideas into clear Project requirements. When a decision would affect the Spec, Graph, or Build, it clarifies in Chat before moving forward.

Clarification is not a detour. It is how Castaly keeps the Project definition accurate before anything is built.

The request could mean different things

Your message can be interpreted in more than one reasonable way, and the choice would change the product.

A product decision is missing

A product, design, audience, flow, or content decision is needed before Castaly can define the next step.

Instructions conflict

Your latest direction conflicts with earlier context, so Castaly checks which one should win.

The next step needs confirmation

The next action would meaningfully affect the Project, so Castaly asks for confirmation before continuing.

High-impact actions also require confirmation. Castaly does not silently move from definition to execution or publishing.

You do not need to write a formal spec. Short, direct answers are enough when they settle the decision.

  • Choose an option: “Use the simpler flow.”
  • Add the missing detail: “This is for first-time users.”
  • Set a constraint: “Keep the data model unchanged.”
  • Adjust the direction: “Make it feel calmer and more editorial.”
  • Ask for a recommendation: “Compare the options and recommend one.”
  • Delegate low-risk details: “Use your judgment if it does not affect the core flow.”

The goal is to make the product decision clear enough for Castaly to update the Project definition.

If the decision is small and does not change the core behavior, you can also let Castaly proceed with judgment:

Use your judgment for the details, but ask me before changing the main flow.

Castaly only moves forward once the open decision is clear.

  1. Castaly records the decision

Your clarification becomes part of the Project context so Castaly can continue from the settled direction.

  2. The Spec and Graph update

When the decision affects the product definition, Castaly updates the Spec and Graph so you can review the result.

  3. Follow-up questions appear only if needed

If your clarification creates another decision, Castaly asks again. Otherwise, it continues.

  4. Build still waits for approval

Clarification can shape the definition, but implementation still waits for Build and Build Plan approval.
