Quickstart

This walkthrough takes you from your first message to a live preview — entirely through Chat.

Everything happens through conversation: describe what you want, refine it step by step, and approve when ready.

No manual setup required.

  1. Start with your idea

On Home, start by describing what you want to build.

You can type freely, paste text, or drop in screenshots, documents, or links. If you already have materials, choose Start from a Reference.

Castaly will immediately create a Project and give it a working name. You can change it anytime.

  2. Castaly builds its first understanding

In Chat, Castaly interprets your input and begins forming a structured understanding of your product.

    It identifies:

    • the core goal
    • key user flows
    • potential pages and components

If anything is unclear, it will ask targeted questions. Just reply naturally — no formatting required.

  3. Review the evolving Spec

Once the first pass is ready, your product becomes visible in two views:

    • Graph: a visual structure of pages and features
    • Spec: the source of truth behind everything

This is where you align on what’s being built. Keep refining in Chat until it feels correct.

  4. Trigger Build when you're ready

When the structure looks right, press Build.

Castaly validates the Spec and generates a Build Plan in Chat.

    You can:

    • accept it to proceed
    • or adjust the Spec before building

    Nothing runs until you confirm.

  5. See your project come alive

Castaly executes the Build Plan, runs checks, and deploys a working preview.

You can track progress in Chat and Graph in real time.

Once it reaches Preview ready, your app is fully usable in the Preview tab.

  6. Publish when it feels ready

When the preview matches your intent, press Publish.

Your project becomes a stable published site — ready to share or iterate further.
