Your live account state: current plan, credit balance, usage summary, credit packs, plan actions, and billing portal access.
Plans & Credits
The Plans & Credits tab in Account Settings is the live billing view for your account. It shows your current plan, remaining credits, recent usage summary, credit packs, available plans, and billing actions.
Use it when you want to answer practical questions:
- What plan am I on?
- How many credits do I have left?
- What has used credits recently?
- Should I buy a credit pack or upgrade?
- Where do I manage my subscription?
How to open it
Section titled “How to open it”Every billing entry opens the same tab.
- Open the bottom-left account menu, then choose Plans & Credits.
- Use the Credits block in the sidebar, then click Upgrade plan or Manage plan.
- Click Upgrade from Home or a Project Workspace.
- Click Upgrade from a credit-related prompt when an action needs more credits.
Plans & Credits vs. other billing docs
Section titled “Plans & Credits vs. other billing docs”Castaly splits billing information into three places so each one stays focused.
The static rules: what each plan includes, how Castaly Credits work, monthly vs. extra credits, and plan limits.
The ledger: every credit grant, usage event, purchase, or adjustment in order.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”The tab reads top to bottom, from your current account state down to the actions you can take.
Your active plan, plan status, included monthly credits, and a Manage button for the billing portal.
Your total available credits, split into monthly credits and purchased credits.
A current-period summary of credits used, AI cost, and infrastructure cost.
One-time top-ups you can buy when you need more credits without changing plan.
The available tiers — Free, Pro, and Ultra — each with its price and features.
Your past invoices, shown once there’s history.
Credits remaining
Section titled “Credits remaining”The Credits remaining card shows the credits Castaly can still spend for paid AI work, Builds, and over-quota platform usage.
- Total available credits is the combined amount currently available.
- Monthly credits are included with your plan. They renew every billing cycle, do not roll over, and are used first.
- Purchased credits come from credit packs. They do not expire and are only used after monthly credits are exhausted.
- The progress bar compares your remaining credits against the credits granted for the current view.

Usage & cost
Section titled “Usage & cost”The Usage & cost section summarizes recent usage for the current range. It is useful for a quick health check, not for auditing every line item.
- Current range shows the time window and grouping used for the summary.
- Credits used shows how many credits were consumed by AI activities in that range.
- AI cost shows provider usage behind AI work.
- Infrastructure cost shows runtime and storage cost behind platform usage.

Credit packs
Section titled “Credit packs”Credit packs are one-time top-ups. They add purchased credits to your balance without changing your plan.
Use a credit pack when you need more credits for a temporary spike. If you run out most months, upgrading your plan may be a better fit.
Click Buy credits on a pack to start checkout in a new browser tab. Account Settings stays open behind it.
Plans and billing actions
Section titled “Plans and billing actions”The Plans section lets you compare available tiers and take billing actions.
- Current marks the plan you are already on.
- Included appears on a lower tier when your current plan already includes more than that tier offers.
- Upgrade starts checkout for a higher plan.
- Manage opens the billing portal to update payment details or manage your subscription.
Checkout and the billing portal open in a new browser tab, so this dialog and the app behind it stay where they are.
If you run out of credits
Section titled “If you run out of credits”Castaly does not automatically charge your payment method for over-quota usage. It only uses credits you already have.
If you do not have enough credits, paid AI work, new Builds, and over-quota usage pause until one of these happens:
- you buy a credit pack
- you upgrade your plan
- your monthly credits renew
Your projects, Specs, files, and published versions remain available. They are not deleted when credits run out.
