Plans & Usage
Castaly plans define what your account includes each month. Castaly Credits are the usage units spent on AI work, Builds, advanced capabilities, and some over-quota platform usage.
This page explains the rules: what each plan includes, how credits work, what happens when usage goes beyond included allowances, and how monthly credits differ from extra credits.

Choose a plan
Section titled “Choose a plan”Castaly has three public plans. Choose based on how far you want to take a project and how often you expect to build.
For publishing real projects. Pro includes more monthly credits, publishing, higher project allowances, published requests, storage, and DB compute.
For high-frequency builds and heavier usage. Ultra includes the highest monthly credits, larger platform allowances, web research, xhigh reasoning, and priority support.

Every plan can buy extra credits. Annual plans still renew credits monthly. On Pro and Ultra, usage beyond included storage, DB compute, or published requests uses available credits instead of creating an automatic cash charge.
How Castaly Credits work
Section titled “How Castaly Credits work”Castaly Credits are not tied to a fixed number of messages or builds. The amount used depends on task complexity and the capabilities involved.
AI tasks, Build planning and execution, web research, xhigh reasoning, and over-quota platform usage such as storage, DB compute, and published requests.
Viewing projects, reading Specs, and basic account management don’t consume credits.
Examples of credit-consuming work include asking Castaly to plan or revise a project, accepting a Build Plan, running Build work, using advanced reasoning, and continuing work after included platform allowances are exceeded.
Monthly credits and extra credits
Section titled “Monthly credits and extra credits”Castaly uses monthly credits first, then extra credits.
Included with your plan. They reset every billing cycle, do not roll over, and are used before purchased credits.
Purchased separately as credit packs. They never expire and are only used after your monthly credits are exhausted.

Over-quota usage
Section titled “Over-quota usage”Some plan allowances are not just AI credits. Pro and Ultra also include platform allowances such as storage, DB compute, and published web requests.
When usage goes beyond an included allowance, Castaly uses available credits for the over-quota usage where supported.
File storage and database storage have included plan allowances. Usage beyond those allowances may use credits.
Pro and Ultra include DB compute hours. Usage beyond the included amount may use credits.
Published web requests have monthly included allowances on Pro and Ultra. Usage beyond the included amount may use credits.
If you run out of credits
Section titled “If you run out of credits”When you do not have enough credits, paid AI work, new Builds, and over-quota usage pause until credits are available again.
You can continue by:
- buying a credit pack
- upgrading your plan
- waiting for your monthly credits to renew
Your projects, Specs, files, and published versions remain available. They are not deleted when credits run out.
Change or cancel
Section titled “Change or cancel”Change or cancel from Account Settings → Plans & Credits → Manage. This opens the billing portal in a new browser tab.
Before you confirm a change, the billing portal shows the details of the plan change, renewal, or cancellation.
