The conversation where you describe changes, answer Castaly’s questions, review plans, and continue work from the same Project context.
Project Workspace Overview
A Project workspace is where the work continues after Castaly creates a Project. It brings the conversation, product definition, structure, running Preview, and project actions into one place so every iteration stays connected.
Use this page as orientation. The detailed workflows are covered in Chat, Specs & Graph, and Build & Publish.
The main areas
Section titled “The main areas”A visual map of the Project structure. Use it to inspect pages, feature groups, and how Castaly understands the product.
The source of truth for the Project. Castaly uses the Spec to plan and build, so product decisions should be reflected here before execution.
The running version of your Project. Use it to test the experience, inspect behavior, and decide what needs to change next.
Header and project actions
Section titled “Header and project actions”The top of the workspace shows the Project name, current state, and primary action for the moment you are in.
Common actions include:
- Build when the Spec is ready to turn into implementation.
- Continue Build when there is approved follow-up work to execute.
- Resume when a Preview needs to be restored.
- Publish when a reviewed Preview is ready to become a stable Project Version.
The state label is visible from the workspace header so you can switch between tabs without losing the current Project status. For the full state map, see Project States.
How the workspace stays aligned
Section titled “How the workspace stays aligned”Castaly keeps the Project centered on the same loop:
Discuss in Chat
Describe what should change, answer questions, or point out what does not match your intent.
Review the definition
Use the Graph for structure and the Spec for exact requirements. This is where you confirm what should be built.
Approve execution
When the Spec is ready, trigger Build and review the Build Plan before code generation starts.
Test the result
Use Preview to verify the running Project. If something is wrong, continue in Chat and repeat the loop.
When to use each view
Section titled “When to use each view”| View | Use it when you want to |
|---|---|
| Chat | Explain intent, answer questions, request changes, or continue the conversation |
| Graph | Understand the product structure visually before building |
| Spec | Check the exact requirements that Castaly will build from |
| Preview | Test the running result and decide what needs another iteration |
